GOSPEL SUMMIT

International Gospel Arts Partnership Summit
Saturday 7th June 2008 at Liverpool Lighthouse

Fun Networking at this year’s Summit.

Upcoming artists and established industry figures speed networked at Liverpool Lighthouse during the International Gospel Arts Partnership Summit on June 7th 2008. Similar to speed dating, speed networking is a fun way to break down barriers and help delegates forge positive business links with each other. Delegates were paired off and after two to three minutes switched partners when the bell sounded.

This ice-breaker was just one of the many innovative parts to this year’s summit. Delegates were delighted to have Michael Coleman, President of Integrity Music US lending his expertise during his keynote address. A dominant figure in the Gospel Industry having founded the biggest selling Christian music label in the world was described by participants as “insightful”, “laid back and grounded” and “inspirational”.

Martin King, the Director of the MerseyPartnership, Liverpool’s tourism board, delivered an informative speech on ‘partnership’. Other key figures such as Clive Ennis, Karen Gibson, Luke Penwal, Juliet Fletcher, Janine Levy and Viv Broughton gave interesting and positively charged workshops. Luke Penwald, of Premier Radio, motivated up and coming artists to use My-space, e-marketing and modern technologies of pod-casting and God Tube to get their music out there.

Gospel Arts practitioners from all over the world gathered to forge new links, showcase talent and explore a theme of partnership and learn about current developments in the industry. USA, Europe, the Antipodes and the UK were represented with delegates from the gospel arts music and entertainment industry.
